☕ michael cordero was boring and not that great for jane

FDSAJFSD NO DO THE *

yeah.

he had moments where i found him a bit more likeable but honestly the chemistry wasn’t great either, idk why they pushed it…so much…

also people acting like how very dare jane for not wanting him around her son after he punched rafael and mateo was hurt … wow. bad.

UGH im rewatching rn (romance writing…inspo 👀) and Michael saying ‘you’re not the person I thought you were’ after (presumably) opening the letter that came with the flowers Rafael sent (AFTER they were already broken up, no less)…

thanks for 1,000 followers! 🥂

A milestone!

Thank you to everyone, I really do put a lot of effort into trying to cultivate quality content on here, and I hope you enjoy it– an 80/20 goal of primary sources and nonfiction works and original posts/edits versus memes and more light-hearted posts was my initial goal when starting this blog. I do work pretty diligently on my original content (except for the off-the-cuff posts)… original posts only are here, if anyone feels like browsing.

Also a sidenote that this is a sideblog– I can’t follow anyone back on here. If you want to follow my main/personal, that one is @alicehoffmans – but I post a lot less history on there now that I have this blog; so if you only follow history-centric blogs I wouldn’t recommend that one.

Asks and requests are welcome, if you’ve sent any I’ve not responded to I thank you for your patience– and know that I intend to answer them, and will when I’m in the right headspace and have the resources I need at my fingertips. I have turned anon off; if you are shy please don’t be! I’m very approachable, I try to answer asks as equitably as possible. I think of myself as an open book, really…esp. as far as opinions go.

These asks will, granted, generally not have very long answers– those are very time-consuming. If in-depth and lengthy answers with multiple sources are what you’re looking for; head over to my ko-fi, donate and let me know which ask is yours.

In the future, I hope to also do book reviews, tv episode reviews, and other article-like posts upon requeset and by comission/for ko-fi as well. My idea was to have it negotiable by length (or perhaps, for non-reviews, number of sources); if I ever get the inspiration again for article-length posts, unasked, I will start to add my ko-fi link at the bottom as a sort of self-promotion (in case anyone wants to request a similar length article, or likes the writing style/enjoyed reading it)– if this bothers you, you can always blacklist ko-fi or unfollow.

These are my two most recent ones, which I’ve edited with the ko-fi inclusion:

Well, Pull Them Down, Your Majesty, You Are What I Said: Part ½

Well, Pull Them Down, Your Majesty, You Are What I Said: Part 2/2

Here’s a list of references on my main (I hope to update it…at some point), and am always open to reading/article/documentary recs as well! And giving them, if I know of any for that particular subject/topic/historic figure.

Cheers and thanks again! 🥂

been half-rewatching tudors s1 on-and-off lately; and i still have to mute most of the henry/koa scenes because it is painful to watch her get rejected over and over again;

also the way they wrote him in s1 is really annoying. it kind of makes other scenes not make sense i’m like…why does she love, much less like him, he is…such a brat??

koa: i had a dream that you came to me, and you held me, and told me that all manner of things would be well.

henry: …yeah, that doesn’t, uuuh…sound like me.
