‘advertisors now know everything about you; companies are selling your information!!’

i mean maybe so but generally speaking they’re not doing a very good job, like– ads for becoming an uber driver when i don’t have a car, expensive jewelry ads etc… if they were really tailored for me they’d know not to waste their money and play ads for products $5 or less only (candy bars? coffee, maybe?); because i can’t afford anything else so like…i don’t really…care

like they’re seriously obviously VERY bad at it because i keep getting sent offers in the mail for auto-insurance and i literally haven’t had a driver’s license since 2013… they could at least save the paper, but no??

“History is not about dates and quotes and obscure provisos. History is about life. About change. About consequences. Cause and effect. It’s about the mystery of human nature. The mystery of time. And it isn’t just about politics and the military and social issues, which is almost always the way it’s taught. It’s about music and poetry and drama and science and medicine and money and love.”
