Thank you! And to you! đ
Idk if there ever has been a comprehensive biography of Thomas or Elizabeth Boleyn? That would be helpful in this regard, for sure.Â
I know Thomas and George Boleyn were at her christening, and it was Thomas Boleynâs sister that ran Hatfield starting 1533âŚpresumably itâs possible he [and/or his wife] had visited, but I donât know of any record of such.Â
Itâs also equally (or more, maybe?) plausible that his court career was too busy to ever give a visit. He had one of the highest attendance rates in Parliament in 1534, for example.
As for after May 1536 (although I know you didnât include that in the ask), presumably Thomas also saw Elizabeth at court (she was there in October 1536â  a report from the time reads â[that] the King is very affectionate to [Elizabeth]. It is said he loves her muchââ  around which time Boleyn assisted in squashing the Pilgrimage of Grace). He was at the christening of Edward VI, and by 1538 was firmly back at court.
Information on Elizabeth Boleyn is, sadly, even more scarce than sources for Thomas Boleynâ so I have no idea, in regards to any times she may have been around her granddaughter. She was in Anne Boleynâs household during her period as Queen Consort, though, so I assume she spent some time with Elizabeth during the few months before she went to an official residence.Â
And it was Thomas Howard, another of Elizabethâs great uncles, that accompanied her to Hatfield in late 1533 (I donât have a source on me but I feel like I rememberâŚreading that, a few places…. [ x ]).Â
But, hey, Elizabeth wasnât taken to Hatfield until December 1533â it stands to reason that her grandparents might have had time with her before then, in chambers with Anne, perhaps? Also, Anne kept Elizabeth beside her at court before then: âcourtiers were often embarrassed by Anneâs displays of affection for her baby[âŚ]she loved to have Elizabeth next to her on a cushion, rather than shut away in a nursery.â Stands to reason, also, that her grandparents may have been around during some of these occasions.Â
Thanks!Â
My hot takes tag be like:

hdmdhsmsdjmjsmdâŚ. Valid. (why isnât there a falcon emojiâŚ)
Oh, thank you! I like yours tooâŚalso the George Warleggan content is đđđ
Havenât done much reading on Anne Brandon, but youâre right about the scandal:

Far as I know, Randal Haworth wasnât her former ward she was guardian of and wasnât fourteen years old at the time soâŚI would say I still like her more than Charles Brandon.Â
Tbh, Charles Brandon is one of those figures that likeâŚthe more I learned about him the less I liked him. And Tudors does so much to make him more palatable to viewersâ they aged him down, to the point where it looked like Mary Tudor (his third wife) was older than he was (the opposite was definitely true). And while they wrote that he wasnât faithful to her (idk if that was true, actually), they made it seem like there was a decent length of time between his third and fourth marriage. IRL, he married Willoughby less than three months after Maryâs death.Â
They also put in a line about Katherine Willoughby being seventeen when he married her (which confused me, at firstâ why not eighteenâ until I remembered that the age of consent in the UK is lower)â in actuality, she was just fourteen, and Brandon was forty-nine years old.Â
Itâs true and you should say itâŚâŚ
Tbh?? Iâll probably eventually get to some with this meme, but like:
âWe had to stop at every maple candy stand on the way here.â * visibly vibrating*
âThere he is, the father of my child, the porn king of the west Village.â
âShe said you actually proposed to her.â âWell, I didnât! I didnât propose! UnlessâŚ. Did I? I havenât slept in 40 hours, and it does sound like something I would doâŚâ Â
