OK, so as far as this whole “Can Scarlett Johansson really act?” thing goes. I always found her incredibly good in this scene from Match Point.

And, yes, I am well aware of who directed this. 

But it’s very well-acted. 

Nola knows she’s gorgeous. But she also feels worthless and swept aside and knows she’s never going to end up a trophy wife in this posh society. She’s seen as too trashy.    

can’t…prove it, really, and i’m sure this wasn’t the only factor but i can’t help but feel that:
