i am aware that irl; i probably come across as mean and it’s like…the thing is i’m not actually mean, but that vibe is something i’ve built up because so often in the past when i’ve been friendly from a place of like…convenience, making things easier (like with coworkers, for example…and customers, to a certain extent) i’ve apparently been too convincing/charming because they immediatetly start to use my politeness/friendliness as an excuse to cross boundaries and get too familiar and then if i do try to stay firm and remind them of boundaries suddenly i’m evil and by then they’ve decided i’m ‘mean’ anyway.
so like, i’m a bitch so that i don’t like…have to be a bitch?
does that make sense; or am i just an asshole?
