Serena is NOT some anti-hero. Serena only cares about one person, herself. We’ve seen through flashbacks that she was spear heading spreading the message of Gilead in its first days of conceptions. She was advocating everything that Gilead is for other women. The only reason she has issues now is because for whatever reason she thought she wouldn’t be treated the way other women were being treated in Gilead. She thought she’d be making decisions and be keeping her rights, almost like a female commander. She’s not pure evil like some in the Gilead world, but she’s not innocent and doesn’t deserve some sort of redemption arc. Until she shows she’s looking to fight Gilead for reasons outside of her own selfish needs, I’m not rooting for any redemption for Serena. Any moves she’s making are purely for herself.
