Unpopular opinion: the Hogwarts sorting system was a throwaway grouping of characteristics that JKR likely didn’t put much thought into and the way everyone identifies themselves/their faves by their Houses (and fights about the classifications) is kind of… unnecessary. Idk the right word.

Hmm I honestly haven’t read them in so long idk if I really have any opinion on this…I guess I sort of agree? Like, in that to determine someone’s whole personality on just a few character traits seems fallible, because also people can change and also people adapt to their surrounding and the people around them (as in, different people can bring out different aspects to your character).
